Graduate of the Holistic Massage Therapy program at Cardiff Met, and a member of the Massage Training Institute (regulatory body), I hold a Level 4 in Holistic Massage as well as in Anatomy, Physiology, and Pathology. I am also qualified to provide Holistic Facials and Mindfulness sessions, so your time at Maple Leaf Massage will truly be one of reconnecting with yourself whilst being pampered.
I care deeply for people and have found that providing holistic services is the best way I can show that care. I believe that massage is a form of health care, and that we have to consider the bigger picture each time a client comes through my doors. We will focus on your physical well-being but factor in aspects like mental health, emotional state and stress, so you leave the session feeling cared for and nurtured.
As a queer, neurodiverse, immigrant woman, I understand the intersections of identity and how those can come into play when accessing health services. That is why I emphasise inclusivity and accessibility. Accessibility is fundamental for some but benefits everyone. Please don't hesitate to have a look on my home page to familiarise yourself with what accommodations I have in place, whether or not you think you need them.
I'm looking forward to meeting you!
Diolch,
Leigh-Anne

Taking care of ourselves is so important but it's hard when we don't feel like we can fully let go - whether it's because of something within the space or interpersonally with the practitioner. As someone with ADHD, finding a massage therapist who understands my unique needs has been difficult. With that in mind, I have implemented different accommodation possibilities that are available to all, no questions asked. I am always learning and adapting so if I've missed something important to you, please let me know!
Pronouns are asked and respected. All genders, sexualities, ages, religions, and races are welcome, as well as neurodiversities.
I use a vegan unscented massage oil and do not light candles or incense.
My linens are washed with a scent-free detergent.
I ask all clients to please arrive without any perfume or cologne.
Sound options include ambient music, rain sounds, ocean waves, music of your choice, or no added sounds.
Wearing headphones or ear defenders is welcome.
My Cardiff practice is near a train line and you can hear the trains when they pass.
The Caerphilly practice is on a quiet, residential street.
Lights can be turned on or off. There is a big light and a lamp. The lamps can be covered with a shawl to soften the brightness.
Eye covers are available.
You may keep your clothing on during the treatment if you prefer.
"Do not massage" areas are asked and respected.
The amount of oil (slipperiness) is adaptable.
I encourage you to rest your body however is most comfortable for you. Lying down, sitting, extra cushions, arms crossed - whatever feels good for you!
I have a small collection of fidget accessories which you are welcome to use and you are encouraged to bring your own.
The urge to stim is hard to suppress, and I would never ask you to do so unless it impedes my ability to perform the massage.
While some talk is important (occasional check-ins for pressure and comfort), we can talk as much or as little as you would like.
I am happy to:
- explain what to expect from the massage prior to beginning
- signal when I will be moving to a different body part
- narrate throughout the entire massage
- anything in between
To access the Cardiff practice building, there are three stone steps, up which I am happy to assist you. The floors are carpeted and there are rugs as well.
There are no steps to access the Caerphilly practice, however, there is a raised threshold at the main door.
This unfortunately means that full-time wheelchair users will unlikely be able to access my services, however ambulatory wheelchair users or people who use walking aids can.
I don't know BSL (yet!)
