Treat yourself to a relaxing massage, where inclusivity is a top priority
My goal is to provide a safe, relaxing space for people to come into their bodies, alleviate aches and pains, and help the stresses of life melt away.
Inclusivity is at the forefront of my practice. All are welcome and accommodations are eagerly met.
Originally from Canada, I've been in Cardiff for five years.
I've recently graduated from the Holistic Massage Therapy program at Cardiff Met after having contemplated getting into the industry for over a decade!
Fully insured through Balens Insurance
My massage style is holistic, drawing from different techniques to create a tailored treatment for you.
I don't believe in a massage "routine" - each session will be different based on our goals and the feedback your body provides throughout the massage.
Taking care of ourselves is so important but it's hard when we don't feel like we can fully let go - whether it's because of something within the space or interpersonally with the practitioner. As someone with ADHD, finding a massage therapist who understands my unique needs has been difficult. With that in mind, I have implemented different accommodation possibilities that are available to all, no questions asked. I am always learning and adapting so if I've missed something important to you, please let me know!
Pronouns are asked and respected. All genders, sexualities, ages, religions, and races are welcome, as well as neurodiversities.
I use a vegan unscented massage oil and do not light candles or incense.
My linens are washed with a scent-free detergent.
I ask all clients to please arrive without any perfume or cologne.
Sound options include ambient music, rain sounds, ocean waves, music of your choice, or no added sounds.
Wearing headphones or ear defenders is welcome.
My practice is near a train line and you can hear the trains when they pass.
Lights can be turned on or off. There is a big light and a lamp. The lamp can be covered with a shawl to soften the brightness.
Eye covers are available.
You may keep your clothing on during the treatment if you prefer.
"Do not massage" areas are asked and respected.
The amount of oil (slipperiness) is adaptable.
I encourage you to rest your body however is most comfortable for you. Lying down, sitting, extra cushions, arms crossed - whatever feels good for you!
I have a small collection of fidget accessories which you are welcome to use and you are encouraged to bring your own.
The urge to stim is hard to suppress, and I would never ask you to do so unless it impedes my ability to perform the massage.
While some talk is important (occasional check-ins for pressure and comfort), we can talk as much or as little as you would like.
I am happy to:
- explain what to expect from the massage prior to beginning
- signal when I will be moving to a different body part
- narrate throughout the entire massage
- anything in between
To access the building, there are three stone steps, up which I am happy to assist you.
The floors are carpeted and there are rugs as well.
Unfortunately, I don't know BSL
Accessing health care shouldn't be hindered by financial barriers.
I offer a sliding scale rate for students, those out of work or receiving benefits, or anyone who needs it.
